BRADBY CLUB GLENBORRODALEDuring the recent half-term holiday Warwickshire Clubs for Young People (WCYP), in partnership with The Bradby Club in Rugby embarked on a residential trip to the Glenborrodale Outdoor Activity Centre in Scotland. The trip consist of a week of outdoor activities including an environmental day intended to teach the young people more about the countryside and contribute to the upkeep of the centre. The Centre is unique in its setting and extremely isolated. As a result the young people are fully responsible for them selves during the week and have to do all their own cooking and cleaning. For some this is more of a challenge then the Outdoor Activities. During the week they took part in the following activities. High Ropes, Zip Wire, Archery and abseiling which included a 100 Ft + sea cliff abseil. Michael Hall Said “I Loved abseiling, it was a brilliant experience. I want to come to Glenborrodale again James McCallum Said “Once you have had a few tries your nerves disappear and you start to challenge yourself and do better every time. Graham Norman WCYP Youth Development Officer said “It was a great week away. It is good to see the young people develop throughout the week and we are hoping to do it all again next year” 22/02/2010
