WARWICKSHIRE AWARD FOR INVOLVEMENTWarwickshire Clubs for Young People is proud to announce that they have been awarded the ‘Warwickshire Award for Involvement'. The award in separated into three standards bronze, silver and gold and WCYP has achieved the top level gold award. The award is about how voluntary youth organisations in Warwickshire engage young people in the day-to-day running of their events and activities. As a matter of course, WCYP involve young people in the planning, preparation, delivery and evaluation of our events. We are also trialling a ‘by invitation only' social networking site whereby we seek young peoples' honest views of our residential courses and other activities, We listen hard to what they tell us and make further improvements to our activities as a result. Also, young people who have achieved their ‘Community Sport Leaders Award' go on to organise major tournaments and other events for themselves, under the guidance of WCYP.” “We are very proud to have been recognised with this award and will continue to work closely with all of our club leaders and their young club members to make sure that we deliver the highest possible level of youth work in Warwickshire.” Photos shows: From left to right Graham Norman WCYP Youth Development Officer, Peter Hatcher Head of Youth and Community Service and Rob Sabin WCYP County Director proudly displaying the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award for Involvement. 10/07/2009
