SENIOR MEMBER TRAINING 2010During the 2010 Easters Holidays Warwickshire Clubs for Young People delivered its annual Senior Member Training Course. The course is intended for older club members, from affiliated clubs age between 16 & 19 years who intend to become assistant leaders within their respective clubs. The course itself is a week long residential visit to an Outward Bound Centre at Aberdovey in Wales. This year's group was made up of Young People from the Bradby Club, Dosthill Boys' Club and Coventry Boys' Club. During the week the young people took part in a number of team building exercises that were revisited and improved upon throughout the week. Other main group activities included sailing a cutter out to sea, climbing and abseiling, exploring local caves, high ropes trees and a two day overnight expedition. All the young people involved in the residential had a fantastic experience with the weather staying on our side for most of the week. All the young people who completed the week developed in confidence, learnt new skills, made new friends and most importantly had fun”! 12/04/2010
